Collection 2024

At the end of 2024, we organized a humanitarian collection, purchased equipment and arranged its transportation to Odessa, Ukraine, for organizations in need. It sounds simple, but the opposite was true, and now we can declare the project successfully completed.

Our humanitarian fundraiser ran from 9 to 19 December 2024 and raised 52,732 CZK.

We carried out the collection process, transport and everything related, at our own expense and without any fee.

For 29.000 CZK we purchased a Honda EM30 generator in a great condition (new one sells for around 43.000 CZK), for 4.000 CZK we purchased one of the more powerful portable diesel heaters from Vevor. In Odessa, we handed over both to our partner organization ГО БФ КОРИДОР UA, which arranged transportation and handover to the target users. The generator is now serving Kherson City Perinatal Center of the II level З.С. Клименко, where it helps ensure a stable supply of electricity during outages. Present at the handover were Volodymyr G. Gorbachevskiy, the hospital’s director, and his deputy, Olga V. Chaban. The heater went to the humanitarian center of the organization Сильні Бо Вільні, which deals with the evacuation of civilians, helping to maintain basic thermal comfort where it is needed.

For 19.732 CZK we purchased 30 winter sleeping bags for evacuation packages in Odessa, completed by the Czech organization Koridor UA, more about the packages on their instagram. The distribution to evacuees is handled by the aforementioned organization Сильні Бо Вільні.

We have agreed with the Brno for Ukraine initiative to transport their humanitarian aid. From Brno to Odessa, we transported 16 boxes of medical supplies for hospitals, crutches and camouflage nets, which are produced by volunteers within the Brno for Ukraine initiative.

Alongside the humanitarian collection, we also organized a private collection to support the defenders of Ukraine. We managed to raise 30.600 CZK for the purchase of a generator for the unit operating in Kherson region. This generator is now used to charge their equipment and provide basic needs in the difficult war conditions. For obvious reasons, we are only sharing limited information publicly about this fundraiser.

In addition to material aid, we again participated in the evacuation – we transported a young traumatized woman, her cat and the most necessary things for a fresh start from Odessa. She is now safe in the Czech Republic, has found housing, work and psychological help with our help, and is gradually acclimatizing.
